La pintura en este caso como un acto de detenimiento y búsqueda de lo entrañable, sirve como medio para crear estos retratos de mujeres comunes cuyos cuerpos han sido territorio de la historia colombiana de los últimos 100 años y asimismo dejan entrever sobre sus rasgos, las huellas de la historia que nos atraviesa. En este sentido, estos rostros se presentan casi como una cartografía de nuestra geografía y cultura colombiana del siglo XX, vistos desde el origen mismo: la mujer como pieza esencial en la reproducción y continuidad de este ciclo de herencia, trabajo y vida.

​Here, painting is an act of stopping and looking for the endearing, as a way to create portraits of these common women whose body has been territory the history of Colombia for the past hundred years, showing on their traits the footprint of the history that goes through them. In this sense, faces are presented almost as a cartography of our geography and Colombian culture of the 20thcentury, seen from the origin itself: women as a fundamental piece in the reproduction and continuity of this cycle of heritage, work and life.
