Serie de pinturas que retrata mujeres conocidas por ser las madres de algunos de los jóvenes civiles inocentes asesinados por el Ejército Nacional de Colombia de manera ilegítima presentándolos como bajas en combate contra la guerrilla con el fin de obtener reconocimientos por su desempeño y favorecer la estadística de los resultados del gobierno de Álvaro Uribe Vélez en su lucha contra el terrorismo. Estas mujeres luchan desde el 2008 por dar eco a su voz que con tristeza y resignación, claman justicia y conocer la verdad sobre los hechos. Buscan con desespero limpiar el nombre y la honra de esos hijos que les fueron arrebatados de sus vidas, y hoy son una sombra que las acompaña siempre. Desde los hechos, se han condenado soldados y miembros de rangos medios del ejército, sin embargo, los verdaderos culpables continúan en la impunidad.
Suspendidas retrata a estas mujeres en una de sus tantas protestas, vestidas del blanco de la paz y la esperanza con que cubren su luto eterno. Estas pinturas proyectan una sombra dentro de la caja blanca que las contiene como un cubo vacío, representando el luto eterno y esa sombra que siempre las acompañará.

Series of portraits of women known for being mothers of some of the young innocent civilian men murdered by the Colombian National Army presenting them as kills during combat against the revels to get rewarded for their performance and improve statistics for the government in their fight against terrorism. These women are fighting since 2008 to be heard, claiming for justice and for the truth to be known. They are desperately looking to clean the names and honour of these children who were taken away from them, and today are a shadow that is always with them. Since these killings took place, soldiers and mid-range members of the army have been convicted. However, the true culprits are still living in impunity.
Suspendidas depicts these women in one of their many protests. Dressed in white which symbolizes the peace and hope with which they cover their eternal mourning. These paintings project a shadow inside the white box that hosts them, as an empty cube, representing the eternal mourning and shadow that will always be part of them.
